Second Growth grew out of wanting to build something more than just furniture. I want to create pieces that are made to be used, lived with, and eventually passed down.

There's something I've always appreciated about working with wood. Every board is different. It has its own grain, imperfections, history, and character—and I think good furniture should embrace that rather than hide it.

That idea is also where the name Second Growth comes from. A tree gets another life as lumber, and that lumber gets another life as a table around which a family can spend decades.

We're a small, veteran-owned, family-run shop in New Hampshire, and every piece is built by me—from selecting the lumber through the final finish. My goal is simple: build solid, timeless furniture from real wood and build it to last.
